Babies who sleep on their stomachs during the first 12 months must not sleep on anything soft for safety reasons, as this can be dangerous. We therefore advise using the Woolskins fleece responsibly! Always pay attention when your child is lying or sleeping on their stomach and make sure your baby remains supervised at all times.

Features of Essential medicinal sheepskin
This sheepskin is Our Tip! This medicinal sheepskin is a carefully selected and medicinally tanned sheepskin, preserving as many of the fleece's beneficial and healthy properties as possible. It is specially suitable for babies and people with sensitive skin. This Baby-Care sheepskin comes from English sheep and has a very soft and compact structure. The wool fibres are breathable and regulate temperature: cool in summer and warm in winter.
Due to the tanning method (medicinal), the fleece is rich in lanolin, a wool fat with many beneficial and healthy properties. Lanolin nourishes and protects the skin, is antibacterial and helps make the fleece dirt-repellent.
The medicinal sheepskin is washable, but please note that washing it before first use is really not necessary. Thanks to its natural antibacterial properties, the fleece only needs to be washed when it is very dirty and can no longer be cleaned with, for example, a washcloth. Airing it outdoors and brushing it is often sufficient to keep the fleece looking good for a long time.

Our wool consists of a pile of 100% wool fibers. The natural wool gives it a soft, warm, authentic look.
We work with soft, warm wool in three different types. Felted, also known as fulled wool, is a soft, compact, natural wool fabric that feels wonderfully warm. Thumbled has a full, woolly, cuddly-soft texture. Our Teddy wool is also soft and woolly, but has more flexibility and stretch, making the fabric feel extra flexible and comfortable.
