100% Wool Pile

Made in Europe
Mulesing-free wool
Oeko-Tex & ECO-5
The Woolskins Baby-Care sheepskin mattress is a soft and natural underlay for your baby. The shorter wool, approximately 3 cm long, makes this sheepskin particularly suitable for use in a carrycot, bassinet or co-sleeper. Thanks to the two handy elastic straps, the sheepskin stays securely in place.
The natural properties of wool make the mattress suitable for use throughout the year. Wool is breathable and helps regulate moisture and warmth. This can contribute to a comfortable climate around your little one: warm when it is cold and pleasant when it gets warmer.
Soft sheepskin for babies
The Woolskins Baby-Care is made from soft, compact lambswool with a wool height of approximately 3 cm. The shorter pile has been deliberately chosen for use with babies and young children and feels pleasant and soft.
The mattress can be used at home in a suitable carrycot, bassinet or co-sleeper and is also easy to take with you thanks to its practical size. This makes it easy to create a familiar, natural underlay on the go.
Sheepskin mattress with elastic straps
Thanks to the two elastic straps at the ends, the sheepskin stays neatly in place. This makes the mattress easy to use and suitable for various compatible mattresses.
The sheepskin is available in various sizes, so you can choose a size that fits your carrycot or co-sleeper.

Natural temperature regulation
Wool has a special fibre structure that helps regulate warmth and moisture. The wool fibres can absorb and release moisture, while their natural insulating properties help retain warmth when needed.
That is why a woollen sheepskin can be comfortable in both winter and summer. Its temperature regulation naturally adapts to the conditions, without the wool actively heating or cooling.
Environmentally conscious tanning
People and the environment are taken into account when processing this Baby-Care sheepskin. The sheepskins are tanned in accordance with the applicable European REACH guidelines, and no AZO dyes are used in production.
Woolskins also consciously chooses European sheepskins. Our sheepskins come from sheep that have not been subjected to mulesing.
Caring for your sheepskin
A sheepskin is naturally strong and easy to care for. Regular airing and gentle brushing help keep the sheepskin looking beautiful and fresh.
This Baby-Care sheepskin can be washed and dried according to the care instructions provided. Preferably use a suitable wool detergent to preserve the wool's natural properties as well as possible.
A care brush is useful for brushing the wool back into shape after use or washing.
A personal birth gift
Make the Baby-Care sheepskin extra special by having it personalised with your baby's birth details. This creates a personal and lasting gift for a birth, maternity period or baby shower.
The combination of a natural material, practical use and personal details makes this sheepskin a special gift that can be used for many years.
Safe use
A sheepskin is a soft product and should always be used responsibly with babies. Therefore, follow the current safe-sleep recommendations and the instructions for use provided with the carrycot, bassinet, co-sleeper or mattress in question.
Do not use a sheepskin as a separate soft sleeping surface when this is not recommended by the manufacturer. Extra caution is required for babies who sleep on their stomachs. Never leave a baby unattended on a sheepskin or other soft surface.
Woolskins Baby-Care – natural softness for home and on the go.
100% Wool Pile
Our wool consists of a pile of 100% wool fibers. The natural wool gives it a soft, warm, authentic look.
We work with soft, warm wool in three different types. Felted, also known as fulled wool, is a soft, compact, natural wool fabric that feels wonderfully warm. Thumbled has a full, woolly, cuddly-soft texture. Our Teddy wool is also soft and woolly, but has more flexibility and stretch, making the fabric feel extra flexible and comfortable.
